Fun Arena game. Once the player figures out they can hold on to enemies until they are ready to throw them, it's quite easy to build up the score. I think the addition of downsides for holding on to an enemy for a long time would make things more intersting.

Yeah, I thought that quite a bit while I was coding. I shall definitely take that into consideration.

I'm trash at rhythm games. But I don't let that get in the way of seeing a fun game when I see it. Great work.

I don't know what this is, but I really wish I got into Newgrounds in my youth. I can't believe I missed out of this kind of stuff. To browse through fun HTML 5 games, then encounter a series of Sprite cans trying to seduce me with their hyponosis.

I never fell in love with a game at first sight until today.

I am a big dumb dumb with any kind of puzzle game. But I can still see the qualities of this game. Good gimmick, effective puzzle suitations.

As a game jam game aiming to be a metroidvania within the 48 hour constraint, good job. But I do feel that iframes for enemy damage would have been a more fair addition to new players. I also noticed a minor audio bug where the steps sound effect kept playing when both left and right are held, making the player not move.

That's the big thing with this game. It's very unrefinded. While endings and abilities are great things that were done with this game given the scope it had to work with, they don't amount to something truly compelling without the stakes of the game design matching the quality of the ideas this game has with abilites and endings. Enemies are very basic and taking the time to give them some form of more advanced AI, even something as simple as locking onto the player and shooting bullets and chasing them will help make using the gun and climing claws a lot more intersting.

Overall, this game amounts to being average. It could really be elevated with improvements from the addition of backgrounds layers rather than a solid color, enemies with a little bit more going on with their attacks and getting hit not almost insta killing the player via adding player iframes.

Solid game. I will say that some form of coyote time could be a nice addition to allow a player some mercy when their platforming is not fully precise. But other than that, good game.

Yeah I was kind of lazy with the jump on this one, I'll try to put out an update today juicing it up

The good

Well-made pixel art
Fun dialogue interactions
Dying is painless and you quickly get back to where you messed up
The music and sfx have a feel-good vibe that fits the game’s tone and aesthetic as a small scale ludum dare project

What can be better
A wall climb button should be added to stop the player from clinging onto walls when they don’t want to. The auto cling has the potential to cause trouble for those trying to get the Speedrun metal

The sound effect for bouncing on clouds can be improved. The current sound effect has a high squeaky pitch. It’s slightly unfitting for bouncing on a cloud

This is a well made and fun small scale game.
